On Grade Horizontal Directional Drilling

On grade directional drilling is a proprietary method used for the laying of sanitary sewer on grade. This method utilizes 1 horizontal drilling rig and 1 vertical drilling rig. Much like HDD, these methods are used when disturbance the natural earth is not an option, except the equipment is modified and the ability to keep the lines on grade are needed.

Horizontal Directional Drilling

Directional boring for a municipality can include drilling and installing pipeline for water, recycled water, forced sanitary sewer mains, or other utilities. Projects may be as small as installing a 1” water service or range up to larger projects such as installing a 36” pipe for water. Utility crossings include highway and roadways, rivers, streams, and canals.
